Inspired by Edgar Degas's antique recipe, SpectraFix Degas Fixative uses a unique blend of casein, water, and alcohol to provide safe, odor-free protection for your artwork. Perfect for indoor use, especially for those sensitive to chemicals.

COMPATIBLE SURFACE:
SpectraFix works on a variety of surfaces, including:
o Paper (excluding LaCarte)
o Primed/unprimed canvas
o Wood, ceramic, stone, leather, glass, and more.
USE WITH:
o Pastels: Soft, Pan, and Oil Pastels
o Drawing Media: Colored Pencil, Graphite, Charcoal, Chalk
o Mixed Media: Watercolor, Gouache, Casein, Ink, and Encaustic
o Under Oil & Acrylics: Prevents underdrawing smudges and bonds permanently with oil layers, similar to egg tempera – ideal for grisaille or underpainting.
USAGE NOTES:
u2022 Not recommended as a final top coat for acrylic or oil paints; however, it can be layered in multimedia pieces and later sealed with acrylic or oil varnish.
