COMPATIBLE SURFACES:

o Paper (except LaCarte)
o Primed or unprimed canvas
o Wood, ceramic, stone, leather, glass, etc.

IDEAL FOR MULTIPLE TECHNIQUES:

o Pastels: soft pastels, pan pastels, and oil pastels
o Drawing materials: colored pencils, graphite, charcoal, chalk
o Mixed media: watercolor, gouache, casein, ink, and encaustic
o Under oil and acrylic paints: prevents bleeding from the preparatory drawing and adheres permanently to oil layers, much like egg tempera_ideal for grisaille or undercoats.

USAGE NOTES:

Not recommended as a topcoat for acrylic or oil paints; however, it can be applied in multiple layers in mixed-media works and then sealed with an acrylic or oil varnish.
