Not quite a brush. Not quite a palette knife. Catalyst tools are made from flexible silicone allowing artists a new form of expression. Designed for use with thick paints, Catalyst Palettes are comfortable with oils, acrylics and water-miscible oils. Because they are heat resistant up to 450°F, they excel with polishes. Artists use them with plaster, clay and more.
Catalyst pallets are ergonomically designed to fit in your hand, allowing direct interaction with your work. They can be used, like blades, for a variety of different media including encaustic, decorative kitchen, ceramics and many more.
Cleanup is a snap with Catalyst blades and paddles. Silicone is easy to clean and resistant to solvents. Cleaning in most cases can be done with mild soap and water. The dried paint can be peeled off the silicone surface. The catalyst blades can even be separated from their wooden handles for cleaning and easily replaced when dry.
