The cleaning of brushes, something to take care
Cleaning your brushes is essential to increase their lifetime. Paint is aggressive on brush bristles and this is why cleaning is a good habit to adopt after each use!
DID YOU KNOW THAT WATER IS NOT ENOUGH TO CLEAN UP YOUR BRUSHES?
The use of an artist’s brush soap is a must for washing them. Start by removing excess of paint from the bristles of your brushes.
1. Cleaning for watercolour, gouache, or acrylic paint: Use our Hachem Brushes Artist’s Soap with warmth water.
2. Cleaning for oil paint: Start with a good rinse of your brushes with the Winsor & Newton Artists’ White Spirit medium and wash them with the Winsor & Newton Brush Cleaner & Restorer.
AS LONG AS THE FOAM IS COLOURED, CONTINUE RINSING YOUR BRUSHES FOR AN OPTIMAL CLEANING.
3. How to dry your brushes: We recommend gently wiping your brushes with our 2-pack of Kliin reusable paper towels. Then, let your brushes dry upside down or flat.
